From $85 to a New Beginning: My AdSense Journey Across Countries

From $85 to a New Beginning: My AdSense Journey Across Countries

Between 2017 and 2023, this blog — lengerrong.blogspot.com — quietly ran with a Google AdSense China account. Along the way, I also published a few Android apps.

I didn’t think much about monetization back then. I wrote when I had time, built apps out of curiosity, and let AdSense run in the background.

Recently, while reviewing old records, I realized something interesting:

  • Total AdSense earnings (China account): $85.22

It wasn’t a large amount, but it represented years of quiet consistency — blog posts written late at night, experiments that didn’t always work, and ideas that slowly found readers.

A Reset After Moving to Canada

After moving to Canada, I closed my old AdSense China account and opened a new AdSense Canada account.

Starting over felt strange. All those years of accumulated balance were now part of the past. My new account currently shows:

  • Current AdSense balance: $4.28

On paper, it looks like going backwards. But in reality, it feels like a clean reset.

Why 2026 Feels Different

What’s changed is not just location — it’s intention.

In 2026, I’m approaching content and projects more deliberately:

  • Writing more consistently
  • Documenting real technical work
  • Sharing lessons from building and deploying software
  • Connecting blogs, apps, and experiments into a clearer direction

I genuinely believe AdSense revenue will grow this year — not because of tricks or shortcuts, but because the work itself is becoming more focused and useful.

Small Numbers Still Matter

$85.32 over six years. $4.28 today.

These numbers won’t impress anyone. But they remind me of something important:

Every meaningful project starts quietly.

Traffic compounds. Content compounds. Experience compounds.

This blog has always been a long-term space — a place to think, build, and record progress. If revenue grows, that’s a bonus. If not, the journey is still worth documenting.

Looking Ahead

This post isn’t a milestone announcement. It’s simply a checkpoint.

From a China AdSense account to a Canadian one, from Android experiments to deeper technical writing, from $85 earned quietly to a fresh $4.28 start — the direction is forward.

Let’s see what 2026 brings.
