Understanding the “macOS 26 (2600) Required” Error in Python (Turtle & VS Code Fix) While running a Python script on macOS using the turtle module, I encountered a runtime error that initially appeared to be related to macOS version compatibility. macOS 26 (2600) or later required, have instead 16 (1600) ! [1] abort python3 ~/xxx.py At first glance, this message can be confusing because it appears to indicate an operating system mismatch.
